This Tuesday, Nov. 1, the International Joint Commission is holding a meeting/hearing on Great Lakes water quality. Today's Press Gazette's editorial page has a good editorial on this topic and provides the meeting information:

I was just thinking of posting this--you beat me!
Meeting is at 7pm, KI Convention Center, 333 Main St., Green Bay.
Do you think enough is being done to protect the Great Lakes? Are there new emerging threats you want taken into consideration?
For example, threats might include:
Climate change (which you could relate to reliance on carbon dioxide producing fossil fuels) and how that affects water levels, quality, and habitat;
Nutrient loads in lakes, often from stormwater runoff and what steps should be taken to address it;
Invasive species and what regulations need to be standardized;
Chemical Contamination, like PCBs, DDT, and other toxins;
problems related to Shoreline Development and Urban Sprawl, etc.
Please consider attending and making a statement about your concerns.
